The château itself is quite small but very well preserved and renovated. Each room is decorated and equipped as it was when Da Vinci lived there. The displays of his art and scientific discoveries are informative and well laid out. The gardens are great for a stroll around. The booking process with headout was easy and well priced.

Already accustomed to the visit, it was a lightning revisit with my granddaughters, we discovered the exhibition building created in 2021 which did not exist during previous visits. We missed the night-time presentations. A small downside: when buying tickets on the Le Clos website, there was no discount for students, which was a bit surprising. Otherwise, we were delighted with the visit to the chateau and park, given the heat.

Not too crowded, the park is big enough for people to be well spread out. We had lunch on site (restaurant next to the toilets), it was very good, very welcoming, just a little expensive. Quite interesting visit to the château and garden.

Convenient for quick reservations and as queue-cutting tickets. The only problem is the pricing, as I paid for two tickets at the adult rate, whereas my daughter is a student and benefited from a preferential rate not shown on the site. And the difference in price is significant. So I'm disappointed to have paid so much when I could have had a discount on the spot.

We got in without any problems by skipping the queue at the ticket office. When purchasing you have to choose a date but the validity of the tickets is longer (it is written on the confirmation email, although sometimes it doesn't match what it says on the website). We had to change our plans and use some tickets on different days and had no problems.

The thread-cutting tickets are very practical and avoid queuing, especially for CHAMBORD, where there are a lot of people waiting in front of the ticket office. For free admission for children, it's now possible to go directly to the château entrance to collect their ticket, and then pick up the histopads at the same time. Despite the crowds, traffic flows smoothly through the château (even on August 15), and it's perfectly possible to take a picnic lunch in the grounds around the château.

My opinion is only "acceptable" because it's the least I can do to ensure that my visit went smoothly. I would have been delighted if something extraordinary, something unexpected had happened, which was not the case. What's more, the price of the tickets was the same as those sold on site, and as the queue wasn't long, I wasn't able to make use of the "line cutter". What can you offer me financially so that I can say goodbye to a normal service? In a few days' time I'll be receiving another review for another visit, for which my assessment will be very negative. See you soon. Best regards. Michel Mercier
